Cognition Blueprint uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology in some of its course products and interactive tools. This document explains how AI is used, what happens to your data, and what you should be aware of before using any AI-powered features.

1. Which Products Use AI?

AI-powered features are currently used in:

Interactive workbook panels embedded within online courses on the Cognition Blueprint platform
AI feedback tools within course modules that respond to your written inputs

Where AI tools are present, they will be clearly signposted within the course interface.

2. What AI Technology Do We Use?

Our AI tools are powered by the Claude API, provided by Anthropic, PBC — a US-based artificial intelligence safety company. Claude is a large language model (LLM) that generates text responses based on the input it receives.

3. What Happens When You Use an AI Tool?

You type a response, reflection, or input into an AI-powered workbook panel
Your text is sent securely to Anthropic’s servers via the Claude API
Anthropic’s model generates a personalised response based on your input
The response is returned and displayed to you within the course interface
The entire exchange takes place in real time

4. Your Data and Training

We understand that data privacy is important to you. Please note the following:

Data submitted through our AI tools is transmitted to Anthropic’s servers for processing
Anthropic does NOT use data submitted via its API to train its AI models
Your inputs are processed and then discarded — they are not retained by Anthropic for training purposes
We do not store the content of your AI conversations beyond your active session, unless specifically stated within a course feature

This means you can use our AI-powered workbook tools with confidence that your inputs are not contributing to AI model training.

5. Is the AI Response Reviewed by a Human?

No. AI-generated responses are produced automatically and are displayed to you without human review. While we design our AI prompts carefully to produce high-quality educational feedback, the responses are generated entirely by the Claude language model.

6. Accuracy and Limitations

AI language models can make mistakes. Please be aware of the following limitations:

AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or not applicable to your specific situation
AI tools do not have access to real-time information and may not reflect the latest research, regulations, or events
AI responses are not a substitute for professional advice — whether educational, legal, financial, medical, or otherwise
The AI does not know you as an individual and responds only to what you submit in your current session

We recommend treating AI feedback as a helpful starting point for reflection, not as a definitive or authoritative answer.

7. What You Should NOT Enter into AI Tools

Please do not enter the following types of information into AI-powered workbook panels:

Sensitive personal information (e.g. health data, financial details, government ID numbers)
Confidential business or professional information belonging to your employer or clients
Information about third parties without their consent
Content that is illegal, harmful, offensive, or in breach of any applicable laws

8. Third-Party Terms

Use of our AI tools is also subject to Anthropic’s usage policies. By using AI-powered features within our courses, you agree to comply with Anthropic’s Acceptable Use Policy, available at:

9. Changes to Our AI Use

As AI technology and our course products evolve, we may update how AI is used within our Platform. We will update this disclosure statement accordingly and notify you of material changes via email or a notice on our website.
