These Terms and Conditions (‘Terms’) govern your use of the Cognition Blueprint website and the purchase and use of any products, courses, or services offered by Academic Methods Limited (‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’). By accessing our website or purchasing any product, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

2. Definitions

  • ‘Products’ — online courses, digital books, physical books, downloadable materials, and any other goods sold via our website
  • ‘Services’ — access to our online learning platform, AI-powered tools, and any associated support
  • ‘Platform’ — the Cognition Blueprint website and associated learning management system
  • ‘AI Tools’ — the artificial intelligence-powered workbook panels and interactive tools embedded within our courses

3. Eligibility

By using our Platform or purchasing our Products, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age, or have parental or guardian consent
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
  • You are not prohibited from purchasing or using our Products under the laws of your jurisdiction

4. Account Registration

Some Products require you to create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and current information during registration
  • Keeping your password secure and not sharing access with others
  • All activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Products and Services

5.1 Online Courses

Upon purchasing a course, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and view the course content for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. Course access is granted to the individual purchaser only and may not be shared, resold, or sublicensed.

5.2 Digital Books and Downloadable Materials

Upon purchase, you are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to download and use the material for your own private use. Digital products may not be copied, distributed, or reproduced without our prior written consent.

5.3 Physical Books and Products

Physical products are subject to standard delivery terms. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the address provided at checkout. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit beyond our reasonable control.

5.4 AI-Powered Tools

Our courses include AI-powered interactive tools. Use of these tools is subject to the AI Disclosure provisions in our Privacy Policy and the following conditions:

  • AI Tools are provided for educational purposes only
  • You must not input any sensitive personal data, confidential information, or third-party proprietary information into AI Tools
  • You acknowledge that AI-generated responses may be inaccurate and should not be relied upon for professional, legal, medical, or financial decisions
  • We reserve the right to modify or withdraw AI Tools at any time without notice

6. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are displayed in GBP (British Pounds Sterling) unless otherwise stated
  • For international customers, prices may be shown in your local currency; the final charge will be in GBP at the exchange rate applied by your payment provider
  • All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable
  • Payment is required in full at the time of purchase
  • We accept payment via the methods displayed at checkout (typically credit/debit card, processed by Stripe)
  • We reserve the right to change our prices at any time without notice; price changes do not affect existing purchases

7. Refunds and Cancellations

7.1 Digital Products — Courses and Downloads

As digital products are made available immediately upon purchase, you acknowledge that you lose your right to a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 once you access or download the content. By completing your purchase, you expressly consent to immediate access and waive your cancellation right.

However, we offer a 14-day satisfaction guarantee for online courses. If you are not satisfied with your course within 14 days of purchase and have not completed more than 20% of the course content, you may request a refund by contacting us. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and are at our discretion.

7.2 Physical Products

Physical products may be returned within 14 days of delivery in their original condition for a full refund (excluding delivery costs). You are responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty or incorrectly described.

7.3 Refund Process

To request a refund, contact us at legal@cognitionblueprint.com with your order details. Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days to your original payment method.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Cognition Blueprint website and within our Products — including text, video, audio, graphics, course materials, frameworks, workbooks, and AI tool outputs — is the intellectual property of Academic Methods Limited or its licensors.

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without written permission
  • Create derivative works based on our Products or course content
  • Use our content for commercial purposes without a licence
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

Personal, private use of purchased materials is permitted within the scope of your licence.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our Platform or Products to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
  • Transmit harmful, offensive, or defamatory content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from our Platform
  • Share your account credentials or course access with third parties
  • Use AI Tools to generate harmful, illegal, or misleading content

10. Third-Party Services

Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites or integrate third-party services (including Anthropic’s Claude API for AI tools, Stripe for payments, and others). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services. Use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

11.1 Educational Purpose

Our courses, books, and materials are provided for general educational purposes only. They do not constitute professional advice — whether legal, financial, medical, pedagogical, or otherwise. You should seek independent professional advice before acting on any information you obtain from our Products.

11.2 AI Tool Outputs

AI-generated content is provided ‘as is’ and we make no warranties regarding its accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any purpose. We expressly disclaim liability for any reliance placed on AI-generated outputs.

11.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising in connection with our Products or services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant Product. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

12. Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer, these Terms do not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude your statutory rights.

13. Changes to Products and Terms

We reserve the right to:

  • Update, modify, or discontinue any Product or feature at any time
  • Update these Terms with reasonable notice — continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer in your country of residence.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
